Evidence register

Sources, methodology & credits

The site distinguishes four evidence modes: live structured data, dated human-verified snapshots, transparent derived calculations and labelled editorial/fun indices. A score is never presented as though it were a raw fact.

Structured and primary sources

Wealth estimates

Wealth snapshots are estimates, not audited balances. Each value must retain its publisher and as-of date, and should be updated as a pair so the comparison is not distorted by different observation times.

News index

The PHP news endpoint queries a Google News RSS index, preserves the named publisher, removes obvious duplicates and stores short metadata for fifteen minutes. It does not reproduce article bodies. Inclusion is not endorsement. Decisive factual claims should be checked against the original report and, where possible, a primary source.

Editorial indices

Qualitative indicators display their rubric, score input and confidence. Readers can challenge individual metrics and category weights without silently changing the published model. Public opinion is always shown as a separate layer.

Photography

Hero portraits use Wikimedia Commons redirect URLs. Confirm the current file author, licence and attribution requirements before final public launch. Remote editorial imagery must likewise be checked against its provider’s terms.
